Sandi Vito had worked under the Workforce Development prior to her appointment as the Labor and Industry Secretary. During that time, she played a vital role in making the Job Ready PA program which boosted the then-governor’s economic growth strategy. By the time that she became the Secretary, she still continued using the said program to make sure that the Pennsylvanian workforce becomes highly-skilled and highly-competitive in the global market.

Through this program and through the relentless will of the Secretary, Pennsylvania’s workforce became well-trained through industry partnerships. Because of the trainings, employees have had wage increases of an average 6.62%. Through these efforts, the healthcare sect in Pennsylvania welcomed thousands of registered and practical licensed nurses.
